New Everton striker Louis Saha will be ready for first-team action by the end of September.
That is the opinion of the Club's head physio Mick Rathbone.
Frenchman Saha became David Moyes' No 9 on Monday when he completed a move from Premier League rivals Manchester United.
The 30-year-old had an injury-affected four-year spell at Old Trafford but Rathbone is pleased with the condition of the player.
"Louis looks in pretty good shape," he told evertonTV. "But he's probably a little bit off [a first-team appearance].
"He's had a few niggles and a bit of a calf strain so we'll probably keep him back for a couple of weeks to make sure he's flying and he hits the ground running.
"We're assessing him day by day, but I don't think there's much sense in pushing him to hard, too soon."
